My wife was diagnosed with terminal liver disease. This review is based off my experience with both Ashley and Dezarai before the agency started. I know Ashley because she is a good friend of the family and Dezarai. Dezarai is my daughter and never left her mother’s side. Ashley took time off her last job to care for my Soph, even though we did have hospice care as well. Dezarai and Ashley have experience caring for all ages – from children to the elderly, and they take their work deeply to heart in a way that’s hard to put into words.  I truly believe they provide a level of care that goes above and beyond others. Being a patient in recovery or with terminal illness with a good caring caregiver can make a tremendous difference. I know this is a personal review, but Ashley treated Soph just like her own mom. When my father developed dementia, he could no longer leave home on his own. Although he remained physically well, he became frustrated and restless being indoors all the time. Ashley was a tremendous help — she took him not only to medical appointments and shopping trips but also out for walks in the woods and visits to the lake. She brings creativity and genuine care to every outing, ensuring that my father stays engaged and happy. Ashley goes above and beyond to provide fulfilling activities and meaningful companionship. She has been a huge support for both my father and our family.

When my 94-year-old father fell and broke his sacrum, he needed some serious assistance: transfers between bed, toilet, dining table, and recliner; assistance with a bedside urinal and sponge baths; dealing with incontinence; dressing; meal preparation; cleaning; even flossing his teeth. The doctors recommended a lengthy stay at a skilled care facility, but his heart wouldn’t have survived the separation from my mother — he yearned to come home and be among family. With Ashley’s help, that was possible. As he healed, he needed physical therapy to regain sufficient strength to rise from his chair and walk again; he left sponge baths behind but needed assistance into the shower; he no longer needed transfers but a steadying hand was still welcome. Ashley handled all that, too. I strongly recommend Grandma’s Choice as honest, hard-working, flexible, and able to provide a wide spectrum of assistance.
